We are moving towards getting out of beta (which will be announced at appropriate time) and finding new ways to ensure more stability to the platform and as a result uninterrupted and smooth work of Wall.fm-powered sites. Earlier we pushed internally-tested-only updates system-wide and it proved to be not the safest way to go. Even a few small problems create feedback havoc on support boards let alone more serious ones.
Quality Group
We decided to change that so we are launching Wall.fm Quality Group project. It’s planned as a small group of real, busy websites with users actively contributing content. All future updates after initial testing will be pushed to that limited range of sites and tested in a live environment for several days before the system-wide update. This will allow more effective feedback loops, faster bug-fixing and ensuring system-wide stability. It’s a win-win co-operation, especially for Quality Group participants since their websites will be maintained closer and faster than before. And the last (but not the least) – we will offer free upgrade to Pro Plan during the whole time of participation.
Conditions of participating in Quality Group
You are a great candidate for our test group if you are:
1. A live network owner, and can boast at least 20 active members.
2. Willing to assist the Wall.fm developers in making the service more stable and feature-rich.
3. Ready to experience certain inconveniences during the network update process, and understand that it’s all for good. It doesn’t mean you will have to suffer all the bugs and errors of the raw update. We will update your network only after a new build gets thoroughly tested by our Quality Assurance department. We need your help to find out those (hopefully) little imprefections that are hard to notice in artificial production environment.
We want you to:
1. Test the new platform updates on your live network, collect bug reports from your members, and forward them to us upon discovery.
2. Be precise and descriptive in your bug reports. This will help us be fast and efficient in doing our job.
3. Understand that the test group forum is not the right place for posting your ideas on how to improve the platform (although we believe you have tons of great stuff to offer). We will accept only bug reports on Quality Group site. As for sharing your thoughts on making Wall.fm service better – feel free to post your feedback on the Support Boards.
In return you will get:
1. Pro plan benefits for as long as you are willing to contribute to improving the service.
2. Faster feature releases and overall better platform as a result.
Rights and liabilities:
1. We will notify you at least two days prior to the update so that you could inform your members about a possibility to face occasional problems while using the updated network.
2. You are free to quit participating in the test group at any time. All you need to do is notify us about your decision, and we will exclude your network from the list of web sites scheduled for update.
3. We reserve the right to exclude your network from the test group if we find your are not participating in the testing process actively enough. Of course, this won’t be an out-of-the-blue news. We will inform you about our decision 15 days prior to terminating our cooperation.
How to apply for participation
Write to support@wall.fm with ‘Wall.fm Quality Group’ subject and provide the following information:
1. Your Wall.fm site URL
2. Your username at our support boards. This is not required but a big plus since shows your willingness to proactively participate in feedback loops.
3. Email address to send Quality Group invitation link. It’s a closed website where you will actively communicate with Wall.fm staff during updates.
4. Tell us why you think you will make a good Quality Group participant with your community.
Update: We do not set deadlines for applying. In fact, you can apply and be accepted even after actual updates already taking place. It’s better to build good participants community than to take what’s available and to close out the application.
Questions?
If you have any questions please write them here in comments. We will answer and/or update the post so every detail of the new program becomes clear.
What if we have an active network but do not need (or want) the ‘ultimate’ goodies?
Can we still help?
We are a group with simple needs, but an active group.
Treesitter,
By all means. Free upgrade to Ultimate is just one method of rewarding for your help. If your site is active and you wish to help I don’t see any problem with applying.
we can get free ultimate plan without paying as a reward? and its free for how many days?
ikasu-anime,
Yes, Ultimate plan for free for as long as you participate in Quality Group.
i sent an email but no ones replying , i want to participate
ow.. its fine now tnx btw ^^
yeah i want to join to but no one is replying
stachr37,
If you haven’t received reply to your application within a couple of business days it means that you haven’t been chosen among all other applicants this time. Please make sure you understand the purpose and details of Quality Group and when you have an active site don’t hesitate to apply again. This project is not time-limited so there’s no rush.

This is wonderful ! I am ready to participate in the Quality Group; since, my network is expected to grow. I am a teacher, and I require my students to comply some of their assignments online using my wall fm powered site. I expect around 300 members to sign up every 4 months. I truly need that ultimate plan. In fact, a number of my users have already been complaining about inconveniences. Yet, I explained to them that we are using free plan and they must be thankful for the chance given by Wall Fm. I’ll write later Wall Fm. I’d like to apply for the Quality Group and help Wall Fm be one of the best.
I think I am going to join this group. It’s my hobby to work on computer. And now when I have got a chance to help for the advancement of such a wonderful site I am not stepping back. Hope I get a chance to serve this site and help to make it even more advanced. M coming…..

Thanks for the invitation. Looking forward to testing whatever you would like me/us to test. This should be fun!
how long does the reply will come back after writing an application
In general it takes about a couple of days. The team reviews your network and decides whether to add it to the Quality Group. If the decision is positive you will receive an invitation.
I sent it when will it send the reply
Generally, it takes a couple of days (not counting the weekend of course).
normally how will they chose us
Developers will look at your network and decide whether it can be included in the QG or not.
i did not received any electronic mails why and what happen
Only sites selected by developers (note requirements in the post above) are notified of the inclusion in the Quality Group. If you haven’t received a message, your networks haven’t been selected this time.
i have all the above why wont they chose me
That can only mean that the quota is full at the moment and you’ll have to wait. Your request though will remain in the pool.
Is it ok if i keep on sendin email
You are already in the pool of candidates for Quality Group, so there is no need to send additional requests. You will be contacted if your network will be selected.
when will they add me
Unfortunately it is not up to me.
ooo for who is it up to!!! please tell
Would be only too pleased to help but you guys simply don’t respond to emails, your login situation is a mess and after a lot of work, my site simply won’t open with no explanation from you, that is no way to treat people and definately not a professional manner.
Let me assure you that our support team answers all incoming messages requesting help. True, we don’t have a 24/7 setup yet, but we do everything possible to respond to reports as fast as we can.

Are xitti sites allowed to participate in the quality testing or is it only for wall.fm sites?
Sorry, Wall.fm only at this time.
My website only has 3 members, i recently started over. But do you have to have 20? I can get way more within the next couple of weeks just by spreading the word around or so.
I just want people to join my site on Villagenet at http://mylogs.wall.fm
